I dont know if you are a good dancer or not but I bet you have danced in your livingroom, at least once, feeling like the king of the dance floor. I do it quite often :) As I said on my Facebook page I wanted to celebrate the international dance day (yesterday 29th). For almost 15 years I ve been part of that wonderful world. I feel really lucky about that since it has given me great friends, happiness and priceless moments. Also, a huge capacity of team working, of not giving up even if you are exhausted, and last but not least the power of picking yourself up smiling after a fall in the middle of the show.
When we were working on the poems’ book “Poesías de Extremadura para niños”, we decided to include a poem about our traditional dances. I was really happy to make the illustration that opens the post for that special project. Today (and yesterday in Spanish) I pay tribute to the people who have shared with me any of those moments I was just talking about.
Yesterday I was a bit tired after crossing half Europe by car in 3 days but still I wanted to remember that dance is not just an art, it also make us feel alive.
