I dont know if you are a good dancer or not but I bet you have danced in your livingroom, at least once, feeling like the king of the dance floor. I do it quite often :) As I said on my Facebook page I wanted to celebrate the international dance day (yesterday 29th). For almost 15 years I ve been part of that wonderful world. I feel really lucky about that since it has given me great friends, happiness and priceless moments. Also, a huge capacity of team working, of not giving up even if you are exhausted, and last but not least the power of picking yourself up smiling after a fall in the middle of the show.
When we were working on the poems’ book “Poesías de Extremadura para niños”, we decided to include a poem about our traditional dances. I was really happy to make the illustration that opens the post for that special project. Today (and yesterday in Spanish) I pay tribute to the people who have shared with me any of those moments I was just talking about.
Yesterday I was a bit tired after crossing half Europe by car in 3 days but still I wanted to remember that dance is not just an art, it also make us feel alive.
Who hasn’t been excited after finding things that were part of the past? As you can imagine, I´m talking about those objects that we used to love when we were kids or the ones that our grandparents kept like treasures. I loved fiddling with the typewriter (even if its keys were hard to press) and going up into my grandparents attic searching for “discovers”. I still like doing that. I can find stuff that I could hardly find anywhere else.
This Illustration serie, called “Extraordinary Behaviour”, was created thanks all those memories and feelings, and it shows the objects that marked an era. I presented it for the first time at Nod-Roxy (Prague) less than one year ago. After that, I decided to create a limited edition (just 50 copies of each) so they can decorate a nice empty wall. Some of them already found a home, the rest will come to Prague with me at the end of the month. If somebody is interested to get any before that, can contact me on my facebook page or here. I won´t make more copies in the future so this is your chance! Don´t say I didn´t warn you! :)

Red and blue dots, Pretty Patterns
Some patterns to start this crazy week! And I say crazy because If I am totally honest I am quite stressed thinking about all the things I have to do before May. Luckily enough all those thoughts vanish when I take the brushes and start painting :) If you like it you can see more here or contact me here for more details.
Have a great Tuesday and an awesome week! :)
